I saw this elephant in a day dream so strong that I was compelled to start painting him right away. I had never painted an elephant before, I had never painted a skull and yet with a couple reference photos I was able to make my vision come to life. I carried the electric blue from the lightning across the painting and half of the elephants face as he warns you about what we have done to his kind, and then I warmed up his off side as he really is just the king of majestic beasts after all. I have also added texture to his face and trunk giving him the feel and look of coming right off the canvas. The Guardian will make a statement on your wall. Gallery Wrapped Canvas, acrylic.

This handsome Borean Orangutan was the first of my endangered species and a first on many levels. My first painted hands, my first orangutan, my first soft blanket and all pushing me to further my skills as an artist. I loved every moment of creating Teddy O. Gallery Wrapped Canvas, acrylic.
